A WALK THROUGH TIME
Architecture Honours students, together with Yeoville residents participating in Yeoville Stories workshop, wrote that book under the facilitation of their lecturer, Naomi Roux. They explored a variety of topics, from Yeoville's architectural heritage and what it could mean for people today; current spaces of politics and social activism; the area's Jewish history; Yeoville's history in music; and the area's "pan -African" identity. Linked to the book, are also tour guides developed with Yeoville residents on some of these themes: arts and culture, architecture, pan african identity and political history (INCLUDE LINK TO EACH). Both the book and the guides were printed and distributed to residents and visitors, during several public events in Yeoville.
