Protocols and Referencing

For those students conducting research within the Department of Pharmacy and Pharmacology we would prefer that you use the following documents for writing up your research protocol and which method to follow for the prefered referencing. Make sure you read the documents carefully and stick to the setup. Any protocol submitted (especially by the Masters students by coursework and research report) will be sent back to the student immediately.

There are many references on the internet for writing up protocols and referencing. Read a few of these to make sure you grasp the correct procedure. The documents we recommend are:

The APA Style is probably the best style of referencing as changes can be made without you loosing your number count. Therefore, the APA Style is recommended. You can discuss with your supervisor which referencing style is best for them.
