The SCIS invites you to a seminar titled Enabling inclusive economic ecosystems in Africa: A role for city governments? on 6 DEC '22, 08:30 -11:00 AM (SAST)
The local state, and in particular major African cities, have a critical role in advancing local innovation and production systems in Africa that contribute towards inclusive access and economic growth. This seminar will engage research that explores the potential for African cities to strengthen their innovation system role in order to drive inclusive economic development.
Please join Ms Stacey-Leigh Joseph (Southern Centre for Inequality Studies) and Professor Geci Karuri-Sebina (Wits University) in discussion with Mr Rashid Seedat (Gauteng City Region Observatory), Mr Isaiah Englebrecht (City of Tshwane) and Ms Kgomotso Tolamo (South African Cities Network).
