GIS Day in the School of Architecture and Planning
On the 17th of October 2023, Dr. M Siteleki hosted the inaugural GIS Day in the School of Architecture and Planning. GIS Day is an annual global event that commemorates GIS-based technologies and their diverse applications across various disciplines. The Wits GIS Day provided students with a platform for career development and, importantly, facilitated networking opportunities with professionals from academia, government, and the private sector. This successful gathering exemplifies the commitment to advancing knowledge and practical applications in the dynamic field of GIS.
