Professor Osman Sankoh
Prof. Osman Sankoh, DSc, COR, is the Statistician-General of Statistics Sierra Leone, a Mercatur Fellow in the Heidelberg Institute of Global Health at Heidelberg Medical University, the Vice-Chair of the United Nations Statistical Commission, and an honorary professor at the Wits School of Public Health.
He has, amongst other positions, served as Executive Director of the INDEPTH Network of Health and Demographic Surveillance System (HDSS) field sites in low- and middle-income countries, and as Acting Vice-Chancellor & Principal of Njala University in Sierra Leone.
