Africans for a Binding Treaty
- Lee-Anne Bruce
CALS and twelve other African civil society organisations call for a UN Binding Treaty on business and human rights that reflects African perspectives
As part of this year’s United Nations Forum on Business and Human Rights, CALS and twelve other civil society organisations from around Africa are calling for a Treaty that reflects African perspectives and experiences. We are hosting an event entitled “For us, by us: Africans for a Binding Treaty” which seeks to bring together representatives from states, trade unions, civil society organisations and affected communities in order to share perspectives and strategies.
The session will take place from 13:00 on 17 October 2019 at the Palaise des Nations Room XXIII.
