BCX CEO Russell speaks at grads

Biography: Ian Russell is a corporate leader who has spent decades in the boardrooms of major blue chip companies in South Africa.
He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of BCX, Africa’s premier end-to-end digital solutions partner. He joined BCX in 2017 from Telkom where he was accountable for the delivery of a wide range of Group Services to Telkom's business units including procurement, supply chain, corporate real estate, security, corporate social responsibility activities and human resources functions.
Prior to this, Russell served as the Head of Procurement for South African Breweries. He has also held several senior back office roles across Barclays, including setting up and running the smart sourcing team, which was entirely focused on transformational outsourcing.
He has also served as the Group Integration Director, as the Chief Administration Officer and as the Chief Procurement Officer for the ABSA Group.
A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, Russell is internationally recognised for leading and developing procurement best practices.
Russell holds a BSc degree in Economics, a Master’s in Business Administration and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply.
