Wits appoints new CEO for WitsPlus

Natalie Zimmelman is a business leader dedicated to the development of skills, leadership, and professionalism.
As off 1 June 2024, Zimmelman has taken over the reins to lead WitsPlus (PTY) Ltd.
Zimmelman has core skills and experience in governance, building the influence and brand of organisations, and the effective establishment and growth of financially successful companies. Her primary focus in recent years has been on skills and professional development.
She was actively involved in sourcing and managing funds raised to drive the Thuthuka transformation project at the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA), before being promoted to establish the Association of Accounting Technicians, South Africa (AATSA). She then served as the new and first CEO of the South African Society of Anaesthesiologists (SASA), where she established the organisation as one of the leading clinician associations in the country. She returned to the financial sector as the CEO of the South African Institute of Financial Markets (SAIFM), from where she was recruited to lead WitsPlus (PTY) Ltd.
Zimmelman holds a BSc in Biological Life Sciences from Wits, an MBA from the University of Pretoria (GIBS), a Higher Diploma in Corporate Law from the University of Johannesburg, and both a coaching and a mediation qualification from the University of Cape Town’s Centre for Coaching Excellence and Centre for Law respectively.
