Katleho Mokoena

Dr. Katleho Mokoena completed his PhD studies at the University of Pretoria, in the Faculty of Theology and Religion, with a focus on Ubuntu ethics and frontier technologies in the African context. Mokoena has experience in digital and AI policy research and analysis through involvement in research for Center for AI and Digital Policy (CAIDP), All Tech is Human, and Research ICT Africa (RIA). Mokoena's prior experience includes postdoctoral research at Stellenbosch University, lecturing at the University of South Africa (UNISA), and serving as a teaching assistant at the University of Pretoria. He has presented research in local and international conferences and workshops including the BRICS Young Scientists Forum and the G7/UNDP Global AI Hub for Sustainable Development. Mokoena has published several peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, and reviews articles for several academic journals.
