GCI MSc bursary opportunity 2018
The GCI has the following bursary opportunity available in 2018: MSc in geography, environmental sciences or demonstrably relevant Masters studies.
Applicants should be:
? Interested in working in a transdisciplinary team
? Able to gather information as required in an EIA and/or catchment management strategy (see ICMA 2012), and perform relevant analyses on such statistics
? Interested in understanding and supporting communication of technologies of mine water remediation and use in the bioeconomy
? Able to undertake independent fieldwork and interaction with stakeholders
? Having or acquiring knowledge of coal mines, especially closure requirements and current practices
Eligibility: Applications will only be considered for the MSc bursary if the preceding degree i.e. Honours degree, has been completed and the applicant is awaiting graduation. Applications will also be considered for applicants who have submitted their thesis and are awaiting results. For candidates awaiting results, the expected date of completion should be included in the motivation letter.
