The Oxford Centre for Collaborative Applied Mathematics (OCCAM) will be described and the research interests briefly outlined. The opportunity for collaboration in research, short visits by academics, postdoctoral fellowships and higher degree study will be discussed. There will be time for questions at the end of the presentation.
Centre for High Performance Computing by Colin Wright
The Centre for High Performance Computing (CHPC), located in Cape Town is an initiative by the national Department of Science and Technology (DST). A The remit of CHPC is to support those areas of computational science, engineering, social sciences which are dependent on or could be enhanced by High Performance/End Computing. A CHPC now has considerable high end computing capacity. A As a state funded initiative, CHPC is open to South African researchers who could benefit from high end computing.
This talk will expand on CHPC?s goals and its resources, describe current research projects and programmes and sketch collaborations. A Opportunities for engagement will be addressed.
