MSc Aeronautical Engineering

The MSc in Aeronautical Engineering is the only 18-month accredited degree of its kind in Africa. It uniquely offers aircraft design and is partnered with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Overview

The Master of Science in Aeronautical Engineering degree is a NQF level 9 qualification that can be completed by Research Dissertation or by Course Work and Research Report (50/50).

In the Research Dissertation option, the candidate prepares a dissertation that constitutes both an application of the methods of research and a contribution to the advancement of knowledge in the subject chosen.

In the 50/50 option, candidates present themselves for a dual degree offered in Collaboration with Embry Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU). Candidates who elect this option will be required to follow the following curriculum which includes two elective courses, two compulsory ERAU courses, the Research Methods Course, and a Research Report.
