Getting started with Canvas New Analytics
- Make sure that your course is published
- Enable course analytics in your course(s), it will take up to 24 hours to see the analytics
- Analytics are not in real-time, they are updated every 24 hours
- You can view analytics in both active and concluded courses
- Students cannot view New Analytics.
The New Analytics data is drawn from students' participation in your course. The Participation criteria are as follows:
- Announcements: posts a new comment to an announcement
- Assignments: submits an assignment
- Collaborations: loads a collaboration to view/edit a document
- Conferences: joins a web conference
- Discussions: posts a new comment to a discussion
- Viewing Pages
- Quizzes: submits a quiz
- Quizzes: starts taking a quiz
