Urology

Professor Ahmed Adam has been appointed as the Academic Head of Surgery from January 2024. He has been the Clinical Head of the Department of Urology at CMJAH since July 2020.

The Division of Urology at the University of the Witwatersrand has an active presence within the 6 major circuit hospitals in Johannesburg and Gauteng: Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital (CMJAH), Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital (CHBAH), Helen Joseph Hospital (HJH) and Rahima Moosa Mother & Child Hospital (RMMCH), Thelle Mogoerane Regional Hospital (TMRH) and the Klerksdorp/ Tshepong Hospital (KTH).
