Staff Structure
The Department of Paediatrics and Child Health at Rahmia Moosa Mother and Child Hospital falls under the Department of Paediatrics, Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of the Witwatersrand.
There are 13 full-time specialists including the Head and Professor of Paediatrics,
Adjunct Professor Ashraf H Coovadia.

Working under and closely with the Registrars are Medical Officers (either "community service" doctors or Medical Officers) and interns.
There are approximately 15 - 17 interns rotating through Paediatrics every four months
The Paediatric out-patient division known as POPD has three full-time Senior Doctors as well as 2-3 Sessional Doctors.
