Debbie White is an adjunct professor and senior specialist working in the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health at the Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital, University of the Witwatersrand, Gauteng. She is a paediatric pulmonologist working in the pulmonology and allergology clinics, and is also part of the consultant team looking after the paediatric and neonatal intensive care unit. She is involved in teaching and training, both at under- and post-graduate level. She is a member of the Allergy Society of South Africa Executive Committee. Her special interests include childhood asthma and allergic disease, cystic fibrosis, chronic interstitial disease and paediatric critical care
