Prof Karen Petersen is the Head of the division of Paediatric Nephrology at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital and the Academic Head of the division at the University of the Witwatersrand. Her interests are acute kidney injury, peritoneal dialysis, vasculitis and posterior urethral valves.
