Dr Shaegan Irusen

Dr Shaegan Irusen is the acting Head of the Paediatric Dialysis and Transplant unit at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital (CMJAH). He obtained his subspeciality training in paediatric nephrology in 2019. He is a course instructor BASIC: Nephrology in ICU.

Dr Irusen has a keen interest in lupus nephritis, nephrotic syndrome and renal transplantation. He also serves as the vice-chair of the Wits Paediatric Fund and Treasurer of CARE for kids with cancer.
