Head of Paediatric Endocrinology at the CHBAH and Divisional Head of Paediatric Endocrinology with special interests in Metabolic Bone disorders in children. Kebashni Thandrayen is a paediatrician since 2006 and paediatric endocrinologist since 2014 at CHBAH. She completed a PhD on the ethnic differences in the prevalence of fractures among black and white South African children in 2014 and was promoted to Adjunct Professor in December 2018. She is also the research coordinator in the Paediatric Department and has been involved in several multicentre clinical trials in the area of osteogenesis imperfecta and glucocorticosteroid- induced osteoporosis in children.
