Dr S Mbatha

Qualifications: MBBCH (Wits), DCH (SA), FC PAED (SA), Cert dev Paed (SA)

Dr Mbatha heads the neurodevelopmental clinic at CHBAH, where she currently works as a developmental Paediatrician. She obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of the Witwatersrand in 2005. She specialized in paediatrics in 2013 and then qualified as a developmental Paediatrician in 2019 from the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa. She also has a diploma in child health from the same college.
She strongly believes In neurodiversity and a strengths-based approach to management. She is involved in a few research projects. She is interested in the genetics of neurodevelopment and hopes to contribute to this fields growth in the near future.
Outside of work, she is a wife, mother, sister and friend.
