Team Structure

The Nelson Mandela Fidel Castro Collaboration Team is directly under the oversight of the Faculty through the office of the Head of the School of Clinical Medicine.

The Director of the NMFC Collaboration Project reports to the Head of School of Clinical Medicine and is the immediate line manager for the Senior Clinical Educator and the Clinical Psychologist. The Director coordinates and has overarching administrative and academic governance functions and also links in with the Department of health, maintaining linkages with other Schools on the project nationally.

The Offices of the Faculty Registrar, as well as the Assistant Dean Teaching/Learning and Undergraduate affairs in conjunction with the Office of Student Success, are the primary support structures that undergird the NMFC Collaboration Project.

The Senior Clinical Educator maintains a relationship with the Academic Governance committee per Academic health Complex, which is represented by the Discipline coordinators and the Clinician trainers. The Senior Clinical Educator is the immediate line manager for the Clinical Educators as well as the Academic support officer and the Senior Administrative Officer. In conjunction with the team, the Senior Clinical Educator sees to the teaching and learning as well as assessment planning per rotation and per cohort.

The Senior Administrative officer oversees the project's administrative and logistics functions centrally and peripherally. Coordinating the administrative assistants that run the hub of the Administrative functions both centrally and peripherally.
