Motlatso Godongwana
Dr Motlatso Rampedi-Godongwana (PhD) is an Associate in the Health practice at Genesis Analytics. She holds an Honours, Masters and recently completed her doctorate degree in Demography and Population studies all from the University of the Witwatersrand.
Her doctoral thesis employed mixed-methods to assess the time taken before HIV positive adults develop additional chronic conditions and the challenges pertaining to treatment and management of HIV chronic comorbidities.
She has experience working in HIV research and has several publications in the field. Over the past 5 years she has been involved in the operational management of clinical trials as well as undertaking qualitative and quantitative research for government organisations and clients including the John Hopkins University, Emory and the International Partnership for Microbicides. Her research interests are in HIV prevention and management research. In 2018 she received the Mail & Guardian's Top 200 Young South African award and has been a recipient of scholarships from the National Institute of the Humanities and Social Sciences (NIHSS).
As an academic and young professional, Dr Rampedi-Godongwana aims to support the Convocation Executive Committee to increase accessibility to the university for professionals and graduates in the employment sector.
